Franco Belli

Franco Belli took as a starting point his cultural roots based on ancient times.  Roots that are deep, strong and dominant, which unite all Peruvian citizens as a vernacular, rich and telluric strength of mother earth.  Here are yellow, sienna, green and blue – brilliant and warm colours.
Belli’s paintings have a very personalized style, almost neo-figurative, with risks of lyric abstraction, showing great mastery of the technique.  For this artist, the theme is only an excuse.  He paints landscapes with remembrances of childhood, large warehouses with mysterious nuances, subtle nudes hidden under rich colourful spots; birds, fish and butterflies.  Plenty dynamism encourages creative flow and his work shows the intimate conviction of a serious and disciplined artist building an esthetic and present universe.
