Fiona Lyder
Born in Guyana to an Irish mother and a Guyanese/Portuguese father, Fiona moved to Barbados at the age of seven.
She always had a fascination with stones and beautiful jewelry and started a bead collection when she was nine years old. She got all of her school friends involved, and had them go home and bring in any bead they could find. The group would then barter and swop during lunch hour.
Fiona trained as a Registered Nurse in London but returned to Barbados a few years later and opened two boutiques.
However, her love of stones led her back to jewelry making and she decided to turn her attention full time to creating and designing pieces using fine silver and semi-precious stones.
