Jeffrey Pataysingh

Jeffrey uses a mixed media of vibrant, intoxicating coloured pencils, pen and ink.  This is the medium he loves to use to capture the wonderful world of nature.  Jeffrey’s meticulous detail has a magical quality that is born from his love of nature.  He has spent 27 years living in the lush foothills of Santa Cruz with his wife and two children.  Although originally a “town boy”, having lived in Port-of-Spain for most of his youth, Jeffrey has found the inspiration for his work from the exquisite nature that surrounds his life in the verdant valleys of North Trinidad.  He is compelled to capture the beauty that surrounds him.  He is also a Guitarist/Composer and is the leader of the Caribbean Jazz Band “Nite Life”.  The band did their first CD recently and is currently in the studio doing another.  Since retiring 2 years ago, he has devoted his time to his art and music.  But as he sits, creating for himself, his eyes twinkle and an infectious grin spreads across his face.  This says more than words can…capturing natures’ wonder is Jeffrey’s passion.
